Few weeks ago, the oracle of Nigerian politics, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was in nearby Ghana as head of an Ecowas delegation monitoring the Ghanian presidential elections. As herculean as the task of election-monitoring was, Baba still found time to thrill spectators with Gangnam style,  a dance style popularised by korean music star Psy, which mimicks one riding a horse, alternately holding the reins and spinning a lasso, and moving into a legs-shuffling side gallop. Click to watch Obasanjo thrilling his watchers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=X99NUc0pLuQ

But that was then, the news now is that Chief Obasanjo's house is on fire as can be attested to by this picture posted by the vanguard news on-line  According to reports by the vanguard on-line, the mysterious fire was reported to have started from the kitchen section of the mansion at about 5 pm which later spread to other sections within the premises.
An eye witness disclosed that Ogun State Fire Service truck marked OG 122 AO9 was seen at the compound even as men Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigeria Police Force, State Security Service have joined the fire fighters to contain the fire from spreading to other parts of the sprawling estate. Details as to the cause and extent of the fire is still sketchy but we will surely keep you posted.

Meantime, we urge all Nigerians to be cautious of the hazards of the dry season we currently experience. Just yesterday, one person died, while ten buildings and ten vehicles were gutted by fire at the Jankara Market, Idumota, Lagos according to, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. The incidences of fire outbreak have been on the rise and we cannot afford to throw caution to the winds.
