Amigo Supermarket Wuse 2 and the Wonderland Amusement Park both attract a huge traffic of the Federal Capital Territory residents especially during festive times. But both of them have now been sealed off following the implications of their  co-owner
in the recently discovered arms bunker in Kano.

It all began on May 16, when DSS arrested one Mustapha Fawaz the co-owner of the popular Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park, all in Abuja.

His arrest and confession unveiled other members of the foreign terrorists network, which led to the interception of one member of the syndicate named Abdullah Tahini, a Lebanese, at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport with undeclared 60,000 United States Dollars on him en-route Beirut. Thereafter, on May 26 one Talal Roda, also a Lebanese with Nigerian passport, was arrested in this same house.

According to the Brigade Commander, all the arrested suspects have confessed to have undergone Hezbollah terrorist training and further implicated one Fauzi Fawad, also a co-owner of Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park.

Consequently, Amigo was sealed of on Friday evening and as expected, Wonderland was equally sealed off  unknown to many parents and kids who had hoped to enjoy the facility over the weekend but were somewhat disappointed.

One of the military officers confirmed that the amusement park was sealed off two days ago, adding that no one is permitted to enter the premises.

It was learnt that men of the Department of State Services (DSS) had raided the Abuja home and business concerns of the owners of the popular Amigo Stores and Abuja Wonderland.

The action may not be unconnected with last Wednesday discovery of a large cache of arms in a building in Kano State, which is linked to the owners of the park.
